Excellent. Waitress knew the menu well, was passionate about. Service was just right, not too slow, not rushed. Food first class. I'll certainly visit again
Never fails to impress! Fabulous food, excellent service, very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, super professional staff. Lovely bar area slightly separate from the restaurant and nice lounge area with comfy armchairs and sofas too. Gorgeous little garden (although people sadly come out to smoke which is most annoying!). Excellent menu and very good house champagne. Always love our little visits at The White Oak. Thank-you.
Sadly it's gone downhill, the 3 x cooked chips were greasy, the skeak was as usual excellent. We had different people looking after us which didn't work so well, dinners were served to the men before women and plates were not cleared like norm and no one asked us or acknowledged us leaving. Oh and they said they could make up peppercorn sauce as they only make it in batches but in all the years I have been going their this has never happened. Such a shame
Beautiful pub with very kind staff. We hand't booked a table and they looked very full however they managed to sneak us in before another sitting as we only wanted a quick bite. Great setting and service. My kind of pub!
Our favourite place in Cookham. Nice chilled bar area at the front, lovey restaurant and great garden area. It has the perfect mix of relaxed, friendly atmosphere with first class service and top food. Jolly and the team are a credit to this. Highly recommended!
